I’ve had a bit of a play and yes these are resin! Not sure what to do with them now though! Maybe cut them into pieces and make jewellery? Any more unusual ideas out there?

I do not really have any ideas other than jewellery. But they are lovely. Amazing textures.

These look very interesting. It looks like you have poured resin into a very shallow mould with metallic threads as inclusions. And then used something like treasure gold to burnish them? Or is the gold somehow in the moulds? Fascinating!

They should be drillable so what about adding them to fabric or other materials when making book covers. They would be good for multimedia pieces as well. Hard to tell what the size is. ARe they reating on oak floor boards or is that a piece of furniture?

They’re quite big slabs, not done in a mould 😉 And yeah that’s my floor! I’m writing a tutorial for Resin Obsession’s blog so can’t give too much away until that’s published 😉 Book covers is a great idea! Think they’d be nice cut into rough squares and then linked together to make a statement necklace, or as scrapbook embellishments too. The inclusions are silk thread waste and then I’ve added enamel paint over the top.
