My sister’s quilt is officially finished! I spent a couple of hours last night making and sewing on the binding and finally finished it before work this morning. It’s in the washing machine right now, but I did get chance to photograph it before I threw it in with the colour catchers (look! It’s not raining!)…
The back is just a solid light apple green I picked up on my last visit to the Fabric Guild– it might be a Klona of some kind. The binding is cut from Bitty Dot in Heron from Annie’s Farm Stand by Lakehouse. The top fabrics are a solid off-white also from the Fabric Guild and of course the Kate Spain Good Fortune jelly roll. The quilting is simple in the ditch around the squares as I didn’t have time for anything fancy. I think it works nicely though.
The pattern was doubled from the Two from One Jelly Roll Quilts book by Pam and Nicky Lintott. See my post from yesterday for my review of one of their most recent books.
That’s one of my finish-a-long targets done already! Lets see now if I can finish the dogs this weekend… Stop by tomorrow for a free paper piecing pattern.
