Fruity bangles

I have been so busy of late that I haven’t blogged, and I’ve not felt inspiration to do it either, sorry! However a couple of weeks ago I did show you a WIP of a custom apples and oranges bangle I was making, with matching earrings. It took a lot of clay slices and effort, but I think it was worth it! I would be happy to custom make these again, but they are too fiddly to list in my shop on a permanent basis!

On another note, I went to the Festival of Quilts and spent too much money on fabrics. I cut a strip from one of them and embedded in my first tall bangle! It needs a bit of sanding but I think it will look great!

Make 50: Week 24

I made this set of citrusy goodness for a lady on Etsy who is setting up a juice bar with her husband. Their speciality drinks feature lemon, lime, grapefruit and orange, so she wanted these in a ring, pendant and earrings, so this is what I came up with!

I was featured on The Carrot Box!

Yesterday my citrus ring (pictured) was on The Carrot Box blog! For those who were directed to my website and couldn’t find the ring, they are available in my Etsy shop exclusively at the moment, which is at www.pennydogaccessories.etsy.com

For those who haven’t seen The Carrot Box, it is a fantastic read! The specific post can be found here: http://thecarrotbox.com/news/0808.asp#29

Finished!

I realised that I don’t really share many of my custom orders, so I have decided to share this one for http://inkspired.etsy.com of a teardrop pendant, matching earrings and 2 rings (I made an extra one in case the other was too small) and here they are:

Only one outstanding order now for 3 poker guards, which I hope to feature in my book when finished! I am also working on a personal project embedding gemstones into resin, it’s setting at the moment, so I hope that I will have something to share with you tomorrow!
