Fruity bangles

I have been so busy of late that I haven’t blogged, and I’ve not felt inspiration to do it either, sorry! However a couple of weeks ago I did show you a WIP of a custom apples and oranges bangle I was making, with matching earrings. It took a lot of clay slices and effort, but I think it was worth it! I would be happy to custom make these again, but they are too fiddly to list in my shop on a permanent basis!

On another note, I went to the Festival of Quilts and spent too much money on fabrics. I cut a strip from one of them and embedded in my first tall bangle! It needs a bit of sanding but I think it will look great!

Make 50: Week 24

I made this set of citrusy goodness for a lady on Etsy who is setting up a juice bar with her husband. Their speciality drinks feature lemon, lime, grapefruit and orange, so she wanted these in a ring, pendant and earrings, so this is what I came up with!

Finished!

I realised that I don’t really share many of my custom orders, so I have decided to share this one for http://inkspired.etsy.com of a teardrop pendant, matching earrings and 2 rings (I made an extra one in case the other was too small) and here they are:

Only one outstanding order now for 3 poker guards, which I hope to feature in my book when finished! I am also working on a personal project embedding gemstones into resin, it’s setting at the moment, so I hope that I will have something to share with you tomorrow!

SoapyChica review, 2 of 3

My bathroom smells lovely now I have another soap open and by the bath! Yesterday I tried the Creamy Fruit Smoothie bar I got as a freebie. The bar seemed to lather easier than the truffles, probably due to it being a more conventional shape. This doesn’t affect the look of the bar though, as it still has a pretty pattern on the top!

I found that the scent was fresh, but smelled a bit like a cheesecake or a milkshake, where the fruit scent isn’t so obvious as to what exactly it is, but it is most definitely fruity.  I used almost half of the bar in one bath, though I do have my water quite hot, and I did drop it quite a bit! Not too shabby for a free soap!
