I thought I’d do a little blog post about Amiee from Handmade and Heritage today. I had posted about the goldfinch quilt I am making over on Crafteroo (which BTW is now trimmed and basted ready for quilting, thank you for asking!), and Amiee really wanted one, but could not forsee having the time to make one herself. I suggested we did a swap of sorts so I have now ordered a charm pack of the same fabric I used a layer cake of to make this so I can make a wall hanging for her in exchange for one of her amazing bird embroideries!
So without futher ado, I present said amazing bird embroideries. I’m getting a Jay one yeyyyy!

My friend Gina has set up her Folksy shop this week and is doing well putting her items on! Please go and have a look at her shop, it would be great to get her hits up!
Thank you 🙂

It’s been a while since a feature wasn’t just all about me, me, me! I found this small, little discovered shop- also from the UK- on Etsy this morning. All of the jewellery is created from old broken jewellery and here are some of my favourites…

I really like the use of resin and colour in these items, make sure you visit her Etsy shop!

I love this beautiful acrylic jewellery from Una Odd and the combination of a synthetic material with natural patterns. Here’s some of my favourites…

I was looking on Etsy for resin figurines and the creations by The Clay Pony popped up! I can imagine developing a little woodland collection on a shelf and adding to them every now and again… in fact I might just have to do that! They come in pastels, metallics, black glittery and transparent colours.

I just love this unusual paper based jewellery from http://www.etsy.com/shop/ljlhdesigns that I discovered when making a paper themed treasury last week. I’ve not done a spotlight in a little while so I thought I’d give you a peek! Visit the link to the shop to see more designs and colours.

I spotted these fantastically realistic glass versions of jelly sweets on Etsy at http://emmagerard.etsy.com and had to share with you- aren’t they brilliant?!

It’s been a few months since I last featured laser cut jewellery, so I think I’m allowed to show you some more! This time it is Etsy seller jujulee’s turn. My absolute favourite pieces are the”diamond” rings. Very cute and inexpensive!

Last week I received a little parcel from Canada, and I eagerly opened it… Look what I got!

The colours and textures are gorgeous- just look at the detail!

They are made by None of the Above on Etsy and I envy her patience and polymer clay skill! She’s got quite a successful shop (and rightfully so), and I’m now worried that the items I sent her in a swap won’t be up to her expectations…
Here’s some more of my favourites from her shop- check them out!

In other news, I am working on making my collection of Christmas cards this week and also I had a brainwave. I decided to make resin friendship heart pendants. I make the resin fabric hearts as normal, then each one is individually cut before findings will be added. I haven’t sanded this one yet as I was eager to get the saw out first, plus I plan to sand then cut in the future, but you get the idea 🙂

I hope to have some in my shops soon for potential Christmas pressies!
