I love the originality of this work. a contemporary twist to a vintage look and I find the muted colours of some pieces really appealing.
Lovely shop.I know a lot of people like uniform backgrounds but I feel yours would benefit from some different interest in the photos.

I am a beader and gravitate towards neutral earthy colors also. A lot of buyers seem to like the pieces with more color so maybe mix it up a little and have some more pieces that are bright colors or pastels. Honestly I LOVE everything in your shop and that is the only thing I can think of.

Very pretty jewelry in this shop! I think the photographs are artfully taken. The only small bit of advice would be to maybe lighten up a few of them. Once you click on the item they look wonderful. But sometimes in the smaller gallery photo you don’t get all the details. I have had the same experience in my shop. Your pieces are lovely.
On the premise of what debsmuddle said, some nice contrasting background to compliment your pieces might be an idea. I would suggest investing in a some tasteful wallpapers. If you buy a couple of small rolls, they last ages, and are very useful as you can then create your own ‘infinity’ space for your jewellery. The pieces themselves are lovely and reasonably priced. I would make the banner a bit less bland, maybe a composite of your jewellery with a clean graphic.

Jet Swarovksi has a beautiful shine, but it looks like flat plastic in this pic. A BOLD yellow or blue backdrop would give visual interest to the photo and draw the shopper’s eyes. If a white backdrop is used, then displaying the earrings on a simple red or orange vase instead of white would work.
I love the decoupage bust for necklace display, but again think it would stand out more with a colored background.
Jewelry is a tough and crowded market on etsy, and anything that helps pull the buyer’s attention to your shop instead of the one below you is a good thing!
Also of note: colored/interesting backgrounds make treasuries & front page far more often than plain white!
First off I would like to say that your shop is beauitful. There is always something to make something good , better. One thing that might make your shop better would be a shorter Shop Announcement. The reason why this might be better for your shop, is so when someone goes to your shop once the page loads up they will be able to see your beauitful work instead of seeing a whole bunch of words. =0)
Lovely shop and lovely items! The only thing I would add is I do love a close up photo of jewellery from a different angle, such as an eye-level angle, as one of the 5 pics. Other than that great pieces!
I think her shop is really great! But since i need to give constructive advice, i think its really important that she gets people to model the jewelery in at least one photo. It kinda helps as i can’t really visualise how i’ll look wearing it lest i see someone else with it.

My advice would be that she could advertise her shop through blogs as i feel that word of mouth is very important. Besides that, maybe she could have an occasional sale as it’s recession period now so many people could be tightening their purse strings. The sale would draw people to her shop.

Beautiful work. I agree with previous posts about the photos but I also like a bit of whimsy in the descriptions of the jewelry pieces to help tell a story of the piece or perhaps it’s name. There’s an artful reason behind the names you give each piece and I think that could be cool to share with the buyer.
Wow! The pieces are gorgeous! I do think it would be nice to have a darker/bolder background to make the jewelry “pop” a bit more.
Very pretty shop! love your work and photos. I’m not sure what to advise on for I do like the clean backgrounds against the jewelry since it stands out better. Maybe more measurment details on pieces 🙂

Maybe experiment with more different colors for her jewelery? And some unusual materials? I’ve seen people use very interesting materials & the result can be quite classy! It sometimes may come out with pretty cool results…

I’ll say that for her jewelery, it looks really great & wearable! I just wished there was a longer description? Like what inspired her to make it in a certain fashion & what motivated her to create some of the pieces.. Some of the sellers love to write about how they were inspired by nature & it’s quite insightful at times. Maybe she could try that!

I simply adore those earring in the giveaway..perfect!! As far as improvemnts to your blog….everything looks good to me but I’d suggest a new banner. Something with more Pizzazz, more colorful. It doesn’t do you beautiful jewelry justice.

I really enjoy the creativity in your work and the combinations of materials. I tend to gravitate towards earrings and would love to see yours on a model to get a sense of scale. Can’t think of anything else! Looks fantastic!
I LOVE the ceramic necklaces! I’m not really qualified to suggest ways to improve your shop as it’s about a bajillion times better than mine, but have you considered a little tagline under the name, to give an idea of what you make/the style of it/the dream or look you’re selling? Also it can be nice to see a necklace on a real person’s neck, to show length. I know you have used the busts, but real people humanise it, if you see what I mean.

I really like the store but I do have one suggestion. I think it would be helpful if there were pictures of models wearing the jewelery. It would give a better visual as to how long some of the pieces are. I love the jewelry though! Thanks for the giveaway!
I’ve noticed some of your neutral-colored jewelry tends to fade into the white/off white backgrounds of your shop. I’d recommend varying the background colors and textures a little. It’ll make each indivual picture stand out and if the colors are chosen to complement the jewelry, then it will only add to the overall appeal.
the shop is nice I think I would try some black or another dark color for some of the backgrounds

Gorgeous jewelry! My advice is to rearrange the photos in the photostream by theme, color or shape. It should “tell a story” as you scroll on and the way you currently have it is quite scattered, which makes it hard to focus on each photo at a time … or maybe I just have a short attention span. I love the shop! But I agree, the pictures are a little plain. Maybe some pictures could be added of models wearing the jewelry, to see how they look on a person? Or pictures with different colored backgrounds to see how the jewelry pops against certain colors? But I think it’s a great site with great items!
I would suggest to Musettemade to add a sentence in her profile that she can change out earring loops if a potential buyer has an allergy to the metal used, but loves the style of the earrings.
